A thermal break solves it: an insulating barrier built into the frame profile so the outer and inner faces of the steel are no longer in direct contact.
We build thermally broken frames on request. It is not our standard specification, because it is not always worth the cost. On a shaded north elevation or a small opening the difference is marginal.
